Xhanti Nokwali will be joined by Chester Summerton 🎹 , Sakhi Nompozolo 🥁 , and Elviro Vrolik 🎸 , the evening unfolds gradually through song, story, and collective listening. Drawing from the rural and peri-urban landscapes of Black South African life, the music carries echoes of mbaqanga, maskandi, and oral traditions.

After travelling across the country, ISLELWA returns to the Eastern Cape for its final performance, a gathering at the place from which so many of these stories emerge.
