Description
The National Arts Festival (NAF) is an annual multidisciplinary arts festival held in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown), in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
It provides a platform for both established and emerging artists across dance, theatre, visual arts, music, film, comedy, talks and workshops.
The festival is a space for experimentation, collaboration, protest, and expression.
It includes a “Main / Curated” programme and a Fringe programme, and uses dozens of venues across the city (theatres, galleries, churches, schools, outdoor spaces).
